Why didn’t my limit order get executed even after the stock hit my limit price?
The limit order doesn't sometimes execute even if the stock reaches the limit price because there is a queue system on the exchange. This means that orders are placed on a 'first come, first serve' basis. If there are multiple bids at the same price and only one offer to counter it, then the person who placed their order first will get executed. Hence, even if the stock price hits the level set by you, the order might not get executed.
