What is IPV?

In-Person Verification (IPV) is a mandatory KYC step under SEBI and PMLA regulations for partnership account opening, where the Depository Participant (DP) verifies that the applicant and the submitted documents belong to the same person. It can be done physically at Arihant Capital’s office or digitally via live video.

During IPV, the DP records details such as the verifier’s name, designation, organisation, signature, and date, while also checking identity, documents, and capturing a live photo if needed. Once IPV is successfully completed, the application is processed, the Demat account is activated, and login credentials are shared with the applicant.
